The Department is able to offer individualized credits to students who wish to pursue less conventional independent studies courses. For example, students who take advantage of biological training outside the academic setting may be able to fashion an independent studies course out of the experience. Students who think they may have the foundations of an independent study course should contact a Faculty member who's research is most closely related to the topic and explore what can be done to convert the experience into formal course credit.
