We study the dynamic ways by which animals respond to challenges.

Research

We are broadly interested in understanding how animals cope with challenges in their environment, like predators, parasites, food shortages, and climate change. We investigate how animals respond to these challenges through behavioural, physiological, life history, demographic, and evolutionary responses.

Teaching

I embrace alternative approaches to teaching, such as using discussion-based, student-centered teaching even in large classes. In all of my teaching, I emphasize the understanding of broad concepts and the development of critical thinking and communication skills.
