EEB Molecular Core Facility
Queen's Ecology, Evolution & Behaviour - Core Molecular Facility
Our Core molecular facility is a key component of ecology and evolution research and training at Queen's University. Managed by Research Associate Zhengxin Sun, this facility:
1. Underpins graduate and undergraduate training in molecular techniques for ecology and evolutionary research in the Department of Biology.
2. Provides DNA genotyping and sequencing services to Biology faculty and students.
3. Provides expertise for trouble-shooting problems with molecular applications.
4. Provides services for genomic library construction and primer design.
We have an Illumina MiSeq sequencer and can provide next generation sequencing services to the Queen's research community now.
