The Biology Department Hosts a High-Throughput Sequencing Core Molecular Facility used by a variety of researches (cells to populations) at all training levels (Undergraduate to Faculty). Managed by Research Associate Zhengxin Sun, this facility provides training and expertise in library preparation and bioinformatics for high-throughput sequencing on Illumina and Oxford Nanopore platforms. Services include:

  1. Support for graduate and undergraduate training in molecular techniques in the Department of Biology.
  2. DNA genotyping services.
  3. Trouble-shooting expertise for molecular applications and common bioinformatics applications.
  4. Genome and transcriptome library construction and primer design.
  5. Help develop and/or modify protocols.
