We explore rapid evolution in the wild using genomics, computation and field-based methods.

Research

Evolution can occur rapidly in natural populations in response to biological invasions and other forms of global change. To study this, we combine cutting-edge advances in genomics, computation, and statistics with more conventional greenhouse and field methods in ecology. Our goal is to improve conservation and management of natural resources and ecosystem services.

Teaching

Science is a process of discovery. I try to motivate learning by empowering students to make a contribution to scientific knowledge. This can range from participation in large collaborative research projects to independent research.
